Recommendations for Fall Bass Fishing Gear
Posted by: marcellosalaas - 11-20-2024, 05:54 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Hi there,

I am looking to upgrade my gear for the fall fishing season and would love your recommendations! Specifically, I’m curious about the following:

Your go-to rod and reel setups for cooler weather.
Favorite lures or baits that work best as the water temperature drops.
Any tips for targeting smallmouth vs. largemouth during this time of year.

I fish primarily in Ontario lakes but am open to general advice as well.

Looking forward to hearing what’s worked for you all !!

With Regards,

Marcelo Salas

As we wrap up another CBAF season we want to thank all of our members that participate in the Joint Tournaments this year.

We also want to thank all the CBAF executive and all those who helped out at each event.

It was a tight race in both categories and came down to the final event at Fed Cup last weekend.

This year's Angler of the Year is Justin Fung from Markham Club.
This year's Co-Angler of the Year is Barrington Gracey from Markham Club.

Congratulations to both anglers on a great season and here are the final results for anglers who fished 3 events or more.

  Fed Cup Results
Posted by: Justin Fung - 09-29-2024, 03:00 AM - Forum: Joint Tournaments - No Replies

Thank you to all of you that came out this weekend and all year.

It sounds like everyone had a great weekend hanging out with their teams and enjoying some nice fall fishing!

The Mayor of Trenton even came out to thank everyone for coming out and supporting their community.

As we wrap up the season, we all want to thank Gord Mummery and the CBAF executive for their time and effort in making these events possible and running smoothly (for the most part).

We also want to thank all of our great sponsors for their support: Mike Knapp Ford, Tackle 1, American Baitworks. X-Zone, Rod Glove, Rapala, Minnkota / Humminbird.

  • First Place Boater was Justin Fung
  • First Place Co-Angler was Doug Strong
  • Fed Cup Champions - Kawartha Lakes
  • Mike Knapp Big Fish award goes to Andrew Shufelt with a GIANT 5.83 smallmouth.

Here are the results for Fed Cup on the boater side, co-angler side and overall team results.

Congratulations to all the winners!!
