CBAF Joint Event 2 - Sturgeon Lake Monday July 21st

1)       Entry fee will remain $150 per team + $20 for launch at this event (Launch should be split between boater and non boater)
2)       New for 2025 – $20 will be deducted from entry fee and given directly to each boater at each event.
3)       We will be doing trickle start in order starting at 7:00 am.
4)       There will no longer be any solo anglers allowed to fish CBAF events.
5)      We will be doing Team Draw event.  Teams will be drawn from within your own club first and best efforts will be made to find partners as needed.
6)       YYou must be signed up on this thread by 6:00 pm on Thursday July 17th. Teams will be drawn that night
7)      Non Boaters - Please send email transfer for $170 to: cbafontario@gmail.com  (Please also put your name in the email transfer memo line)
8)      $20 launch fee included for all teams even if you launch elsewhere to be split between both anglers. 
9)      All boats MUST complete On The Water Boat Check. After boat check, boats will wait for trickle start at 7:00 am and must wait for their boat number to be called to blast off. (Please do not be late)
10)   All boats will check in before 3:00 pm and stage out in the lake. Anglers will be called up in small groups to weigh their fish. Anglers to use CBAF bags only. Fish will  be returned to the team to release out in deeper water immediately.
11)   Big Fish Team Prize of $250 will be courtesy of Mike Knapp Ford
12)   Raffle tickets will be available at each event with Raffle Prizes to be drawn at the conclusion of the weigh in, please stick around after weigh in.
13)   Payouts will now be 50%/50% and will have 1 pay spot for each 5 teams. E-transfer will be sent to winners the following week.
14)   All Teams can weigh if they are looking to earn points for the 6 Angler and 6 Co-Angler paid entry to fish the Regional Semi Final Sept. 18th-21st 2025.
15)   AOY and Co-AOY will be based on best three finishes out of 3 joint events and Fed Cup.
16)   $20 Optional Greedy Bucks will be available for boaters at each event with 50%, 30%, 20% payouts

Here are the teams and some additional details for our first joint event to kick off our 2025 season!

1) Co-Anglers please send your $160 Entry and Launch Fee to: cbafontario@gmail.com  Please include your team name or team number in the message field.
2) Boaters, you will receive $20 day of the event or you can choose to put it towards boater Greedy Bucks Pool that will be paid out to top 3 boaters, 50%, 30% and 20%. If you would like to enter greedy bucks, please put your name and GB in the comments below (Example: John Doe GB) We will put your $20 directly into the pot and save us from trying to find you on Monday.
3) TBF Nationals Optional Greedy Bucks - If you are planning to try and qualify to fish the TBF Nationals, you have the option to put in $50 and the qualifiers will receive 100% of the funds collected to help fund some of their expenses next spring. You will need to email transfer $50 to same email address before blast off on Monday morning.
4) Non Boater - We had one non boater sign up late today. If there are any boaters that would still like to fish this event, we have a non ready to join you. Please reach out to your club president or email me as soon as possible to allow us to make arrangements. email to: justin_fung@hotmail.com

New for our 2025 Joint Tournament Season: The Angler of the Year and Co-Angler of the Year will each qualify to fish the TBF National Event in the U.S. in the spring of 2026!!

AOY and Co-AOY will be based on your top 3 finishes from the 3 Joint Events and Fed Cup.

There will also be Angler and Co-Angler spots up for grabs at the Regional Semi Final on Bay of Qunite September 20-21, 2025.

Anglers that are planning to qualify the Joint or the Regional Semi Final will have the option to participate in Qualifier Greedy Bucks for $50 before the first Joint event.
100% of the funds going to the anglers headed to TBF Nationals the following year.*

*Funds will only be paid out to anglers that participated in the Qualifier Greedy Bucks and fishing The TBF Nationals. (Additional details about this optional program are available from your club presidents)

The CBAF Executive voted to amend the team payouts for the 2025 Season as follows:

TOURNAMENT FEES AND PAYBACKS: 
I. For CBAF joint events the fees and paybacks are as follows: 
i. Entry fee - $150 per team of two (paid by the non-boater)
ii. $20 from each entry will be withheld and paid directly to each boater at each event
iii. 15% Holdback from the remaining $130.00
iii. Payout will be split 50% boater and 50% non-boater 
iv. Mike Knapp Big Fish Team Award - $250 per team.

II. Payback schedule: 
i. 5 to 9 boats pay 1st and 2nd place
ii. 10 to 29 boats pay one additional place for every 5 additional boats 
iii. Over 30 boats pay one additional place for every 10 additional boats
