I was asked to split the second big fish prize to my partner on Scugog event. I am wondering if it is a new rule for our club only. I didn't get anything when my partner won big fish prize in the last joint tournament in Newboro.
Can somebody make it clear so that I can ask for it next time?
thanks,

Derek,
Id suggest you discuss and agree on a BF strategy with your boater before the first cast is thrown.
There are no CBAF rules surrounding this and quite frankly I dont think its a area we'd want to get into.

But I was asked to split it by the organizer, not the boater.

Derek,
I have your split from Newboro...still in the envelope...next joint perhaps?
otherwise call me 905 999 2614
You were gone when they awarded the prize..I have always been under the impression that a BF prize is split??
Thats the deal in my boat anyway..

Ya, BF has usually been a split prize in the Joined Events. Sometimes the person who doesn't catch the fish tells the other to keep the whole amount though. That's at the discretion of the partners.

Derek,
In the future,
why not contact those involved directly? - phone, email, private message, twitter, facebook - whatever your into.
Get things straight, rather than making inacurate assumptions on a forum.
We had a fun day on the water despite losing that fish - could have been 2 bigfish awards for us.

i feel if you are fishing as a team why not split the big fish money..but again it could be up to the boater and non boater.
