Personal End Notes from Fed Cup
#1
I first would like to thank my boaters from the weekend, Mr. Al Russel and Mr. Peter Altemore. Both stand-up fisherman with a great fishing sence.
Al, what a great looking hook-set.

Another stand-up goes to Mr. Hui for being a great help to everyone at the fed-cup by donating his time and not even bringing a rod to the event.

This being my first Fed Cup I did not know what to expect from the bay, the weather or fish. I found it slow going, cold, rough on Sunday and a real pain in the a** to get the fish to hit, but never the less enjoied every second of it. I will be honest and say that I learned quite abit on those two days fishing. The biggest lesson is you have to be prepared for everything on water like that. With such a diverse territory of water, patterns can arise from nothing and you have to be willing to adapt.

Another part that was greatly enjoied was the sense of team comradery. Saturday night in that little hotel room sharing that days experiences and challenges sure made know what to expect on Sunday alot easier. Eventhough we are all very different in our angeling ways, some skilled more then others, I truly belive it is actions like this that make everyone better fisherman. I deffinitally benifited from the off-water teamwork amoung our group and it helped better prepare me for the next day.

Even though I didnt weigh-in the biggest bag, or find the biggest fish, it is weekends like this that make me realize why I love this sport. The toughest days of fish is where I feel people learn the most, through challenging yourself, compeating with other anglers and working a difficult body of water, this was a great learning experence. I will truthfully say Iam a better angler today then I was last week.

Thank you Team Bass Pro Shops! I already can not wait for next years Fed Cup.
