Club Tournament Fees - Alex MacDonald - 06-20-2011 Hi, Can someone please remind me what the tournament fees are for club events? I know it's $40 to get into the tournament for a non-boater, and that you are to share additional fees with your boater, but I see other clubs posting that it is $40 paid up front to your boater and $40 to enter the tournament. Can someone clarify please? Thanks Re: Club Tournament Fees - Al Russell - 06-20-2011 Our clubs entries fee are $60 Boater $40 Non. The non boater extra fee is $50 for a full day event and $40 for Twilight events. Cheers Re: Club Tournament Fees - Alex MacDonald - 06-20-2011 Thanks Al. Sorry to be such a "newb" but is that extra fee the gas fee that is owed to the boater, or is that something that is agreed upon by the boater/non-boater on the side? That being said, with the price of gas, and some events having launch fees and parking, if you were to help out with the launch fees or if you and your boater wanted to do some long runs, a few extra bucks I'm sure would be very appreciated. Now that's completely between you and your boater, but the $50 is the minimum and should be paid at the start of the day directly to your boater. Gord, is the only one that contributes to his non boater. Re: Club Tournament Fees - Charles Nahm - 07-04-2011 It is actually $60 this year due to the 30% increase in gas prices and instead of paying your boater - you just pay $100 to the tournament money collectors (this covers your boater's entry fee). This will reduce the chase work for the money collection team at the events. Re: Club Tournament Fees - Manny Oliveira - 07-05-2011 Wayne, YOUR A BAD MAN, you owe me a new key board lol.. Re: Club Tournament Fees - Nick Savino - 07-22-2011 Hey Al would just like to put forth a suggestion for next year since we already committed to the fees this year. On any small tournaments with ten boats or less even if the nonboater comes in first place there is no way to recover their cost for their entry fees. I dont mind paying the boater the 60.00 gas at all since I understand the investment they make with their rigs. So I wonder how the rest of the nons would feel about fishing for placement and bragging rights rather than a pool of winnings where we don't even get our cost back? Again I am only suggesting this for small clubbie NGTA tournies and for discussion next year. I've seen some clubbie tournaments with only three or four boats. I dont think anyone cares about the winnings at that point lol! Anyway just a thought for next year. PS. If its even allowed under CBAF rules that is! Take Care Nick Re: Club Tournament Fees - Al Russell - 07-22-2011 As Charles said, it is much easier to collect the Non boater fee with their registration fee. That way noboby feels uncomfortable about having to ask for it , and it will also not be forgotten about at the end of the day. Nick feel free to bring your points up to the membership at the next meeting. Cheers AL |
