Reminder - Meeting this Wednesday - 24th |

Just a reminder to all that this Wednesday is the do-over for JP's in depth seminar that got postponed by us crushing the rooskies in olympic hockey.
We're back at the Shoeless Joes, and hopefully will be a quieter experience. We are getting a credit on every purchase at the meeting that will go towards a nice year end dinner. I believe we are already well on our way to getting a really nice year end party, so please mention the club anytime you do support shoeless outside of the club meetings as well. It's nice to actually have a restaurant want us back enough to give back to the club.
See you there!

Tournament Rule Changes for 2010 |

Responsible fish care is of the utmost importance to the CBAF. To minimize the stress on tournament caught fish the following two items will be added to our tournament regulations for 2010.
20. Culling: Culling must be done prior to relocating under power. Only non-invasive clip type culling systems may be used, modified piercing (safety pin) type systems must have the pins removed to be eligible. Immediate disqualification will result if a piercing type system is found in a contestants’ possession. Previously caught fish with evidence of piercing must be brought to the Tournament Directors attention prior to weigh-in.
21. Fizzing: All fish that require fizzing must be fizzed immediately. The need for fizzing may not be evident right away, it could take up to ten or fifteen minutes for the air bladder to expand and the fish to float sideways or upside-down. As soon as this occurs the fish must be fizzed in order to prevent further stress to the fish. Fish presented for weigh-in that require fizzing will result in a .50 lb. penalty per fish.
These types of culling sytems are available from a number of manufacturers including Bass Pro Shops, Berkley, X Tools, and Quik Cull
